Hurray for Hollywood .. !
You thrill and entertain us .. make us laugh .. make us cry .. yes I cry, I'm a modern man dammit .. ;)
You bring people together .. and influence generations .. .
.. you lull away our lazy afternoons .. .
Now all the celebrity hoo-ha asside .. there are a lot of great people in the entertainment industry, in front of the camera and behind the scenes. I think that it's fair to say that most people in that industry are truly there because they love what they do .. everyone .. alll the way up the line .. regardless of dollars or Top10 lists. Money is really just a path to freedom, there has to be a point where a person has so much wealth, that they can live as they please, and costs become irrelevant. I can only imagine .. who wouldn't want to experience something like that ..
Hmm .. I can hear it now .. a new RealityTV show where regular people live in a mansion like stars and compete to see who could cut it as a Hollywood A-Lister .. there would be red-carpet fashion and literacy challenges .. the evade the paparazzi obstacle course .. and of course, don't forget the after-party endurance test. ;)
Is that a show already? .. hahah .. If not, I'm sure it'd be a hit .. remember me when it is, eh .. ;) .. lol
Anyway .. when you combine significant wealth, with bunch of talented happy people with world-wide influence and appeal, you get some of the most generous people you'd ever want to meet .. both with their time, and with their dollars.
So .. here is my challenge .. Hollywood, you make some amazing films with amazing people. Recently there have been so many popular action and comedy movies revolving around mayhem, destruction and worlds ending .. although fun films, it would be nice to see something different. I challenge you to make a movie .. er .. a good movie mind you .. ;) .. showing the world changing for the better. A movie where present-day humanity rises up beyond itself and creates the perfect world .. Now that is open to interpretation, but it is a challenge after all .. ;)
Comedy, action, drama .. whatever. Genre doesn't matter .. although personally, I'm leaning towards a comedy .. Honestly, who wouldn't enjoy watching someone like professional nice guy Paul Rudd or James Franco etc. save the world. :)
Although proceeds could go to charities, which is always good .. the important thing here is to demonstrate in an entertaining way that change is possible .. and that things can be better and aren't completely buggered .. here's one way to do it .. .
Like I said, there are some great entertaining celebrities out there, I don't need to name names .. I know you have it in you, so here's looking at you, kid. Astound us.
