Introduction .. this is our world ..

Earth, it's a pretty swell place to be .. mostly. Let's face it though, there's a little room for improvement. War, disease, poverty, corruption .. not things MOST of us are into, and yet we allow it to continue. Do we really want change, want peace? I wonder.

Without blame or malice, our world is in trouble ..

            .. to horribly understate the point ..

These days, it isn't difficult to choose a cause, we really do have a vast selection to pick from. 

          What’s your favorite flavor?
                   .. ecological?
                   .. humanitarian?
                   .. poverty?

                   .. to put it plainly.
                                    mildly.
                   .. we are in trouble.

For such a lovely place, things sure got pretty buggered up along the way.

.. we all like to bitch & moan about things we don’t like, or find wrong with the world ...
          .. money .. politics .. crime .. taxes .. inhumanity .. mushrooms .. gas ..
          ... okay .. I really really don’t like mushrooms so that’s a big one for me ... bleh ... :P

.. we watch in entertained horror, marveling in shock and curious fascination at the beautifully produced daily newsreels of 'ooo'  this  and 'oh my gosh'  that .. stuffing cow and fries into our coffee holes wondering, “how can such travesties possible happen in this day and age and ... ooo look! ... Johnny Rides the School Bus 3 is on tonight .. and in HD too ... cooool ...”


.. yeah .. 

This is our world ... and we want it back .. . .. don’t we .. ??

hmmm .. i’m not so sure .. certainly doesn’t seem like it .. it seems more likely that we as a whole, are more content to sit back and see how the next act unfolds .. and if we’re lucky ... ju-u-u-u-st lucky ... we might see on tv, or stumble across online, some wonderfully fascinating travesty of human nature, or disaster to regurgitate, and blether about at work the next day ...

.. oooo ... suffering .. wait till they hear about this ..

ok ... maybe i’ve gone too far ... if so, it’s not by much ... and granted, this doesn’t speak true of all bipedal nuisances .. there are those few that go to unfathomable lengths to make a difference, and even those that just do what they can ... most of us though .. and yes i do say “us” because i don’t exclude myself from the group .. most of us, need a good shake ..

Now ... before I go any further ... and believe me .. i will go much further ... I want to ask something of you .. a commitment.

.. a commitment to read this with an open mind ..

I ask you read this in the mindset, not of who you are .. or what you do ..
but rather from who you could be ..

Now I say who you “will” be because it is only a matter of time ... it’s happening right now.  We have reached critical mass and something needs to give.  Will we be the poor player? ..  our final hour upon the stage only to at long last, be consumed by the fury? 

... geeze ... i hope not .. that’d be right downer.  I’d like to think we’re better than that.

... and although now, it’s painfully obvious that all our yesterdays have indeed brightly lit the way ..
